How to Enjoy Stamp Collecting (for Kids)

he first word that enters your mind when I say "stamp collecting" is probably "boring". But, if you do it the PROPER way (i.e not how adults do it), it can be an enjoyable hobby.

  1. Decide on a home for your collection. You could use a shoebox, shelf or drawer. You could also purchase a stamp album (recommended) which enables you to organize your stamps like a pro, but these not really necessary if you just want to collect to amuse yourself.

  2. 2
Monitor your (and your family's) post (mail) every morning. If you have relatives who are willing to donate, then ask them for theirs.
  3. 3
Remember to use the proper equipment and to wash your hands before handling stamps.
  4. 4
You can take the stamps off the paper by laying it in a shallow dish of water for a while and then peeling them of with tweezers and/or special tongs, made specially for stamps.
